New York City Day 2

Okay so it’s been two whole days of me being almost healthy (I decided to skip details about what that Starbucks did to my stomach), so naturally I wake up sick. No one here believes me and my sis keeps mentioning hypochondria but the truth is I am extremely sick. I feel like 6 nights of drinking in a week has finally caught up with me . And when you’re sick so often, even sympathy is hard to come by.

We went for a walk after waking up and see a water body on the map n walked towards it imagining some beautiful Portsmouth port. Turns out it was a pond the size of a swimming pool.. . Then everybody made eggplant paninis and it was pretty decent. I volunteered to do the dishes and suddenly everybody decided to make it a 3-course meal at least dishes-wise. OMG! I didn’t tell you this. My dad sent me a guy’s “bio-data” for a match! Today he actually tried to talk to me about it! I was like, “Dad, I’m sure he’s a great but I’ll find my own guy”. He’s like “guy ya bhes.. find it fast”.. bahaha. My dad always likes to be the funny man. Funny reminds me, all 5 of us were just chilling on Vibhu’s bed for a while and suddenly she goes, “Guys, I need to buy a toy”. There was a 5 second deathly silence and then we all started rotfl. We completely drowned her explanations about the nephew..lol! Vibhu can be so silly sometimes. Utsav was blowing bubbles and Vibhs yells, “Blow it!!” Sameer in his infinite maturity says, “That’s what she said”. Vibhu’s next question: “Who said that?” (No words).

Me, Mansha and Vibhu went to a walk in Portsmouth downtown and it was soooo quaint. Every shop looks so pretty and the roads were all sloping. If not for the miserable rainy weather, I’d love to live here! We then went to this place Ogunquit, Maine. It was the prettiest drive. I even managed to stay up the whole way. Ogunquit is this little pretty seaside resort town. The weather was freezziinngg. I reached my 3-day limit with my only pair of jeans so I was layering with leggings, tracks, tank, top, top, sweatshirt1, and sweatshirt2. Needless to say, I looked like a hobo and I still froze and managed to get a cold. There is this mile road along the ocean where there is a trail to walk along the sea. It’s called Marginal Way. I would recommend Ogunquit to anybody coming to Boston (Thakur this means you). We went to this place called Lobster Shack for a snack and I had a yummy bowl of chili. It was heaven to my aching throat. We drove around town.. had some yummy chocolate mousse for dessert ($2.99 and enough for 4.5 people.. vibhu wasn’t eating which means she had 2-3 bites) and now I’m back home and have to start on my academic work. Plan for the rest of the day is to make home-made pizza from scratch for dinner and play Pictionary.. yaayyy.. Gnight people and please pray that I recover drinking-wise by Saturday.
